The Stevens Welding and Machine Story

Stevens Welding and Machine is locally owned and operated and provides services that include a full-service hydraulic, fabrication, oilfield and agricultural welding and repair and machining shop in Glenburn, North Dakota.
We are honored to be locally owned and operate in over a 43,000 square foot facility. Our tooling includes CNC Vertical and Horizontal Mills, CNC Lathes, CNC Plasma Table, Engine Lathes, Shear, CNC Press Brake, Hydraulic Presses, Line Boring, Welding Equipment, Vertical Bandsaws, Hydraulics and more.
In honor of the Stevens family legacy the welding shop was founded back to its roots by renaming the business “Stevens Welding and Machine” after its purchase in 2021. It is in this legacy of the founder, Roy Stevens, who started the business upon returning from World War II in 1946 that we are honored to continue building upon his and his family’s dedication and continued ability to meet the needs of the market and customers. Our goal is to bring back local leadership and to support the employees and customer base that has supported the business for decades.
Through the years of the Stevens family running the business, they were involved in constructing countless drilling rigs that served various oilfields including those in North Dakota. The first ever oil wells drilled in North Dakota were the Iverson 1 and Iverson 2. Interestingly enough, the Stevens family participated in welding on those rigs resulting in being part of a momentous moment in North Dakota’s petroleum industry.
